Xtreme Time Attack

Probably not many of you know this, but during CPS there is also another small tournament going on.
The mappack was released last weekend and the first match will be played upcoming weekend.

I will try to give you a view on how the tournament will go and then I will give you a little preview.

Rules + progress of the tournament

There are 24 teams in four groups of six teams each.
Each match has to be played in 5v5, 4v4 or 3v3, this has to be decided by agreement of both teams.
The matches will be played on three maps to five points. The points decide who wins the match, not the number of maps. So you can win two maps but still lose (e.g. 5-0, 4-5, 4-5).
You have from Friday 18.00 CET until Monday 00.00 CET to play the match.

After the groupstage, the first two of each group will go to quarterfinal A, number 3 and 4 of each group will go to quarterfinal B (loserbracket then I guess, not really clear to me in their rulebook).

FD has a strong guest player (Loic), but the clear favourite in this group should be GOD with right after them Impact. We will see who surprises us.

In this group the fight for the first two places seem to be going between Happy, IGN and Acorn (favourite). Happy has the advantage of not participating in CPS while Acorn does and IGN plays CPS with two teams. We will see!

Pro|XEF

Insight will take the first place home easily over here, for place two it will probably be SAW. Up to the others to prove otherwise.

3DMAX is the favourite to win this tournament. After them, there will probably be a fight between Team Arty and THC for place two.
